I see lily pads as places of mercy. My experience is that the lily is just out of reach.

It is important for some things to protect themselves from grasping.

I remember finding out that even if you could reach the lily it was almost impossible to pick because of the tangled web below the surface. In the dark water there is a balance of life that is protected by the lily stems. I am most authentic when I honor these roots. These little islands float along the shore of our understanding, wish great tolerance. There is a sheltering and a flowering. It is a scene of mercy and interconnectivity.
